Our Story
Meet-and-greet day at my son's school was approaching, I was excited. My son Deejay is on the autism spectrum, so social events require a bit of extra preparation. We practiced introductions, how to ask questions, and how to listen. I felt confident-he was ready. When I picked him up afterward, I eagerly asked, "Did you meet anyone?" His response was a simple, quiet "No." My heart sank. When I asked why, he gave me two honest answers: "I didn't know if they were friendly." "And I didn't know if they wanted me to talk to them." I hugged him tightly and said, "We'll get them next time. It's okay."
Later that day, I shared the story with a friend. Half-joking, I said, "Maybe I need to put a big red button on every kid that says, 'Push me, I'm friendly. It's okay to talk to me. '" We laughed, and my friend replied. "Not just the kids-the whole world could use a button like that."
Our business was born.
It started from a simple idea- but over time, it grew into something more: a source of inspiration for us. It became a platform not only to help those on the spectrum build social connections, but also to support individuals navigating recovery or mental health challenges. We believe that sometimes, what a person needs most is just one compassionate soul- someone willing to pause, to listen, and to remind them they are worthy of someone's time.
Building this business has been an incredible journey. It's given me the priceless opportunity to spend time with my son, teaching him the ins and outs of digital design, business, and finance--the beautiful chaos of entrepreneurship--and most importantly, the power of giving back. Together, we're doing our part to make a difference for those who may need it. And the fact that you've made it this far in the story tells us something truly special: we're worth your time. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support. 🤎
